Tyres are a boon to everyone. Choosing the right ones still takes work.
Since 2007 this desk has existed for one job: information on all the different tyres in the market. Not a shop. Not a brochure. Long-form advice for Brisbane drivers and riders who want rubber that actually suits Queensland heat, wet bitumen and a weekend that might end on a dirt road.
Start with car tyres, motorcycle tyres, tyre suppliers or cheap tyres. The old masthead still stands.

Why this site still exists
The original Brisbane Tyres pages talked about Charles Goodyear, John Boyd Dunlop and the brands that filled Australian sheds — Pirelli, Michelin, Bridgestone, Goodyear, Kumho, Toyo, Yokohama, Falken, Continental. They also told you not to mix radials, to check pressure when the tyre is cold, and to rotate on a diagonal. That voice was chatty, slightly breathless, and useful. We kept the voice and raised the reporting.
